It has been announced recently that there is going to be a new Marathon in the town of Tralee in 2013. The planned date is the 16th of March and it looks as if it will incorporate a Half-Marathon as well. The event is going to be called the Tralee International Marathon. No planned route yet.So there is a plenty of time to start training for this event, starting with Banna 10K Road Race in August and build up distance for Half or Full Marathon in March 2013.
Great news in fairness.Can't see why Tralee cannot have a marathon,when Killarney has the Maxi-marathon every year.Looking forward to it already.Hopefully it will get the go ahead it deserves.
