Well done to Derek Griffin for another sub 3hrs performance in Limerick Marathon on 4th May 2014. Time of 2:59:40 placed him in 26th position overall.
Full results HERE.

Wet conditions on the day did not stop over 100 people taking part in this event. Derek Griffin's cool down run from Limerick Marathon placed him 3rd overall. Ursula Barrett (6th female) and Ann McGlynn (9th female) from St.Brendan's AC also placed high in overall results.
Results HERE.

Farranfore/Maine Valley AC organised  a 1 mile event on the 60th anniversary of the first sub 4 min run by Sir Roger Bannister.
There were races for juveniles, juniors, seniors and masters.
St.Brendan's AC had Daisy & Lilly Nowak in the juveniles race and Artur Nowak in 10th position in Masters category with time of 5:58.9 min.

The fourth year of the Lee Strand Kingdom Come 10Miler & 5K road races, organised by An Riocht AC, were held on Sunday 11th May 2014 in Castleisland. In the 10 mile event there were 150 runners and in the 5K over 300 people. A well organised event by An Riocht AC with neither route too challenging but this year somehow less supported with the number of participants lower than last year.
St.Brendan's AC had runners in 10 mile distance, with Derek Griffin placing highest for the club, taking 4th spot overall (59:17) with William Griffin finishing in 1:17:29 (4th in M50). Great performance from Ann McGlynn - second in F50 category with time of 1:20:52.
Ursula Barrett finished few seconds after Ann in 1:20:56 (17th Women) and Kirstie Nowak also doing new PB in 1:37:09.
