Code of Ethics & Good Practice for Children in Sport

Athletics Ireland is fully committed to ensuring that young people are safeguarded in their participation in athletics in Ireland. Early experiences of young athletes in our sport need to be positive and enjoyable, irrespective of their ability, gender, social or ethnic background.

St.Brendan's AC is the first athletics club in Kerry to avail of the "Code of Ethics & Good Practice for Children in Sport" course which, since January 2012, has been available for delivery to clubs nationwide free of charge. 10 coaches and committee members participated in course.
The "Code of Ethics & Good Practice for Children in Sport"
course is three hours in duration and is a requirement for anyone attending an Athletics Ireland Coaching Course.
Big thank you to Moira Aston for making this course very interesting and informative and Orla for organising/making this happen.
