On Sunday 8th January it was boys turn to show some newly learned skills and our club had 6 athletes competing on the day. First timers to this competition were Aaron Horgan, Zach Walshe and Eoin O'Flaherty in U11 (60m, Shot Putt, 200m, Long Jump and 600m) , Tom O'Flaherty in U12 (60m, Shot Putt, High Jump, Long Jump and 800m)
It was welcome back after year out from athletics to Jack Hannon in U14 and Breanndan Walsh in U15.

For younger athletes it was the very first time they could showcase new skills in Shot Putt and High Jump and did very well on the day with all the boys getting good results and got points in each event.
Jack and Breanndan battled hard all day in 60m hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Putt, High Jump and 800m with Jack earning first medal for St.Brendan's AC in 2017, finishing second in his age category.
Well done to all club athletes and parents for traveling and supporting on the day.
