Kilgobnet 4mile 2014

The 25th Kilgobnet 4mile Run/Walk took place at 8 pm. on Friday evening, 1st August. This is a good warm up to a busy weekend of road races which includes the Annascaul 5/10k road race and  of course the Banna 10K and 5K event. There were 80 participants and this was made up of club athletes, Fit for Life groups, walkers and children.

St. Brendan's AC had two participants: Artur Nowak (finishing in 17th place overall with a time of 26:03) and Kirstie Nowak (finishing in 55th position with a time of 34:48). Given the fact that this was a fundraiser event for two charities, there were generous prizes for top three male and female and then a prize for each age category. Route was not too difficult, a few ups and downs but overall an enjoyable run.
