Congratulations to Darragh Courtney from St Brendan’s AC who came third at the AAI National track & field championships
2015 on Sunday 12th July in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. He was competing in both the high jump &
triple jump competitions. He equalled
his personal best jump from the Munster championships in the high jump. Darragh was just pipped into fourth place in
the triple jump, not a bad achievement for an athlete competing in this event
for the first time.
Competing last weekend 4th July at the
first weekend of AAI National competition were Darragh, Lauren O’Grady &
Riadh Malik in 75m hurdles & discus respectively.
Whilst all of the athletes made finals they
were out of the medal groupings. Well
done to all in participating at the National finals. Thanks to the entourage of supporters for
travelling with them!
