AAI Development News Update

- There only a few places available on both the Assistant Coach Course in Templemore Co Tipperary March 15th and the Athletics Leader CourseCastleisland Co Kerry April 12th. Places are filling up fast and both courses are expected to close very soon.

 

- The 1st weekend of the Level 1 Course in April due to be held at UL has now been changed to Templemore Co Tipperary with the 2nd weekend as planned in UL. There are still places available but filling up fast, it will close soon.

 

- There will be a Sprints Workshop taking place in Moyne Co Tipperary onThursday 27th February led by Munster Performance Squad Coach Brid Golden. It takes place at the Moyne AC pavillion indoors. It runs from 7-9pm and is open to all athletes/coaches aged 10+. The cost is €5 payable at registration 6.45-7pm.

 

- There will be a Jumps Workshop taking place at Cork IT Track on Friday 28th February led by Munster Performance Squad Coaches Stephen Fleming (Long Jump), Chris Regan (High Jump) and Eamon Flanagan (Pole Vault). It runs from 7-9pm and is open to all athletes/coaches aged 10+. The cost is €5 payable at registration 6.45-7pm at the track.

 

- The next Munster Performance Squad Day will be held at UL Track onSunday 9th March.

Coaching Workshops

Please find details below re coaching workshops in South West for athletes and coaches:

 

- Monday 16th September Fit4Youth Launch at Mardyke Track 6.45pm, cost €5. Details on attached poster.

 

- Wednesday 18th September Throws Workshop at UL Track 7-9pm. Open to all athletes and coaches aged 10+ and cost is €5 payable on the night at registration 6.45-7pm. Coaches on the night will be John Sheehan (Javelin) and Jerry Horgan (Shot/Discus).

 

- Saturday 21st September Winter Coaching Series Day 1 at Cork IT Track 10.30am-1.30pm. Full details available here http://www.athleticsireland.ie/content/?p=34644.
