AAI National Master Track & Field Championships 2016

On Sunday 21 August 2016 AAI Masters Track & Field Championships took place in Tullamore.

St.Brendan's AC came home with 4 national medals. 2 Gold by Ursula Barrett in W40 Long Jump and 200m and 2 silver medals won by Patrick O'Riordan in M60 High Jump and Long Jump.

Ursula had an excellent day at the competition, improving on last year's performance at this level.

Great to see our club's founding member and current club president Patrick O'Riordan back competing at national level.

AAI National Indoor Masters Championships 2016

AAI National Indoor Masters Championships took place in Athlone AIT Indoor Arena on Sunday 20 March 2016.
A large numbers of masters athletes, ranging from O35 to O80 competed in track & field events.

St.Brendan's AC had Ursula Barrett (O35) & Artur Nowak (O45) taking part in a total of 7 events. This was a very successful trip overall for our club duo as both athletes earned medals in both track and field events:
Ursula Barrett - silver medals in long jump and 200m,
Artur Nowak - gold medal in high jump and silver in 3000m race walk.
Ursula also competed in 60m sprint finishing just outside medal position in 4th and Artur finished 5th in both long jump and shot putt.
