The 10 mile distance was a mixture of running surfaces, ranging from road, trail, gravel and even a bit of grass and river crossing with over 400m of ascent it was not a typical 10 miler by any means.
If you look closely at the elevation chart, it's hard to find any flat area longer then 50m so all hill running experience was put to good use. Route was well marked and marshaled at every junction with a few water stations, much appreciated on a hot day.
This whole event was a big success with participants commenting on a great experience, views and how tough it was (in this order) and it has a big potential to attract much more competitors, both runners and walkers and potentially more teams like outstanding "Rambo Babes" from Born To Run.
