Weekend 16-17 November 2013 races results

South Kerry was a hub of activity last weekend with St.Brendan's AC members taking part in Feet First 5K series of races and the Half Marathon at the Gap of Dunloe. Results and pictures below.

Saturday, 16 November:

Feet First Mizuno 5K Winter series, race 3:
Ann McGlynn         23:03 (2nd in age group category)

Sunday, 17 November

Run The Gauntlet Half Marathon
It was a good day for Derek Griffin, claiming victory on this very challenging route. Over 90 runners/walkers took part, battling for different colour finisher T-shirt ( RED - sub 1:45 hrs, black sub 2:00hrs and WHITE survivor) where hill running, climbing and free fall running skills are essential. Well deserved win for Derek as he lead from the start, setting a very fast pace and improving his own result from last year by 5min (finishing second overall in 2012). Congratulation to St.Brendan's AC athletes with one red and 2 black T-shirts for collection.
