Our Pole Vault duo (starting as a guests) of Katie & Una have made it 1 & 2 in Leinster Indoor competition in Nenagh. This time Katie improved on her Munster Indoor result & took first place with 2.60m jump with Una finished on 2.40m.

MUNSTER STAR AWARDS
CONGRATULATIONS to Amy Phelan and Eoghan Courtney who are receiving Munster Star awards tonight at the Auborn Lodge Hotel, Ennis, Co. Clare, and St. Brendan's AC is receiving a Club award. We hope all who are travelling have a safe and enjoyable night.

2nd Munster Squad Day February 5th Nenagh
The 2nd Munster Squad day of the 2011/2012 season takes place on Sunday 5th February at Nenagh Indoor Stadium Co Tipperary. The following are the details for the day:
- Munster Development Squad 10am-12pm with registration at 9.30am sharp. This session is for all u14 (1999)-u20 (1993) athletes in 2012 age groups. This is open to all athletes from all clubs in Munster and the cost is €5 payable at registration at 9.30am. The events covered on the day will be Sprints, Hurdles, Shot and Long Jump.
- Munster Performance Squad 12.30pm-4pm with registration at 12.15pm sharp. This session is only open to the 85 athletes slected on the performance squad via letter to their club and parents before Christmas. This is for those selected athletes in the u17 (1996)-u21 (1992) age groups in 2012. The head event coach for each event will e-mail the personal coaches with plans for the day.
Irish Team Coach Br. John Dooley will also be in attendance, acting as guest speaker for the performance squad at 12.30pm sharp with the sessions starting at 1pm.

Time: 4-5.30pm
Date: Sundays starting 22nd January for 12 weeks
A bus has been organised to take the athletes over & back to Castleisland leaving Ardfert medical centre @ 3.15pm. Leaving Topaz (opposite O' Donnell's restaurant) in Tralee @ 3.30pm. Training will take place between 4 & 5.30pm. The bus will return @ 6pm to Topaz & 6.15pm in Ardfert.

Let's Get Kerry Walking....Operation Transformation - Kerry Style!!
KRSP Cathaoirleach Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh will launch the event on Saturday January 14th at 2pm, Muckross House, Killarney National Park and he will by joined by former Kerry Operation Transformation Leader Emily Pigott. This will be followed by a choice of 4.5 or 9k walk!!!
The short walk will be set at a relaxed pace so it’s good for beginners whilst the 9k walk will offer a more moderate pace whilst incorporating a slight challenge to Torc Falls viewing point. Walk registration takes place from 1:15pm onwards. This should be a good day out for all…so why not come along with family and friends and join in on the fun!!

MUNSTER JUNIOR, SENIOR & MASTERS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012- results
We have another successful trip to Nenagh for Munster Indoor competition with 10 medals to start of 2012 in style.
In Junior category:
Peter O’Brien start the day with bronze medal and new PB (11.38m) in Shot Putt. Later on he added gold in 56lb WFD. Our Pole Vault duo of Una Marley and Katie O’Riordan got gold and silver, making 1& 2 for St.Brendan's.
In Senior category:
Ailbhe Courtney won 400m in her first start since injury. Good to see her back in great form. David Hogan also won gold medal in Pole Vault event. He took a short break from Pole Vault to start in 4x200m Relay with Dylan Roche, Luke O’Keeffe and Eoghan Courtney finishing in second position.
In Masters O40 category:
Artur Nowak got silver medals in Shot Putt and Long Jump, follow by gold medal in High Jump with new PB (1.55m).
