Apologies

Apologies for the lack of updates as of late but my laptop is on the blink.I will have a full report on the club awards night during the week along with some info on the outdoor season ahead. Please check the fixture list on the sidebar as 99% of the years outdoor fixtures have been made.

Training is still going solid on Tuesdays in Ardfert hall with Artur,Thursdays in Nisus Fitness with McCabe and Saturday in An Riocht and Sunday in the sports complex gym both with myself. From April 5th training will change to Tuesday and Thursday in the community sportsfield in Walnut Grove from 7-9pm.Wednesday school sessions will then finish and be replaced by a self gym session in the evening.Saturdays will remain the same at 1-2.30pm in An Riocht with Sundays also remaining the same at 10am in Tralee sports complex when there are no competitions. If the weather is ever too bad to train on Tuesdays and Thursdays we will move indoors to either Nisus fitness or Ardfert hall.

On the competition front our season opener will be April 16th at Leevale Sports in CIT,Cork.Following that we will hope to retain our juvenile track and field title on May 14/15th at the County championships with the Mens team hoping to retain the Quill cup at the Kerry senior T+F on May 29th.June 18/19th will see the Munster U14-U19s in Castleisland which will give us a fighting chance of retaining the Munster juvenile title we won for 2010.June 26th will see us travel to Tullamore to the national juniors with July hosting the two national juvenile weekends.

Im hoping that over the next few weeks we will get our 2011 influx of new teenage athletes as ive started to set up the Causeway comp school athletics team for 2011 so will hopefully bag a few stars like Peter and Patrick again this year. All help would be greatly appreciated if anyone from the other schools are off any day that they could come and give me a hand.Thank you Amy and Una who did so last Tuesday :P
